Before I find out more about you, here's some information about myself:

I have been a Florida Bar licensed attorney since 1993. I have based my practice on representing regular citizens fighting the powers that be. I have worked as a public defender where I gained a great deal of courtroom experience while managing a large caseload. From there I spent 6 years as a senior attorney with the state Guardian ad Litem office. In that position I wrote and argued many motions to advocate for children that have been abused and neglected. Having an interest in real estate law, I took the certification course that every prospective real estate agent must take. I went on to work for a private law firm representing individuals who are being foreclosed on.

I have handled over a hundred foreclosure cases and many loan modification cases. I have experience counseling individuals in the many issues they may encounter in a foreclosure case: default and acceleration letters, home appraisals, finanancial information statements (income and expense levels), second loans, short sales, forbearance and payment agreements, summary judgment hearings, bankruptcy implications, filing deadlines, and statutory federal disclosure defenses. I appear in court regularly in the course of defending my clients, and I am familiar with all the treasure coast courthouses from Palm Beach to Vero Beach. I pride myself on my ability to relate to clients and help them understand the system.

I also am adept at on-line research, as before my legal experience, I worked in the computer profession for Nova Southeastern University and for an e-commerce company. Since a great deal of foreclosure defense work involves researching the finer technical points of dense federal statutes, I relish the geek side of attorney work. Needless to say, I can show my clients where to find a multitude of resources on the internet, from county home valuations to free reference e-books. And I also designed this entire web site! I live in Saint Lucie West and attended law school at the University of Miami.
